TATIANA

That same old voodoo...

Tatiana, a young girl, discovers an abandoned voodoo doll on the street as she comes home from school. From that point forward, she becomes enamored with voodoo and fortune telling. As the years go on, she begins her mastery of the dark art, until her eventual resignation.

Through a series of silent vignettes, 'Tatiana' tells the story of the life of a fortune teller, from her beginnings to her retirement.

About the film

One of my earlier films. Originally it was a series of five shorter pieces, but we decided that it would be kind of cool to compile them together and see if it brought anything new to light. This was also the first time I had worked with an original score. It was crucial that the music help tell the story due to the fact that it is a silent film, so it was fun learning how to figure out what worked and what didn't. We played around with many types of techniques in this piece, and creating a story out of five separate was much harder than anticipated.
