RAZORBLADE
YOU NEED TO SHAVE...
Razorblade follows a young couple, Trevor and Penny, on their Valentine's Day. It is a story that picks apart nuances in everyday occurrences, and attempts to show the subtleties in differences two partners in a relationship. And even if things are balanced in just the right way, everything can topple quickly if you aren't careful.
No one is the hero. No one is the villain. Everyone is just themselves.
aBOUT THE FILM
Razorblade was made for a webseries titled "99 cents". Every episode of the series dealt with one item that a character purchased at a 99 Cent store. I ended up choosing a cheap razor as my item, and i began to write a script around the idea of a girl wanting her boyfriend to shave.
Even though it is my earliest film, there's something in it that still resonates with me, and although it isn't the perfect movie (it's definitely the most aesthetically different from the rest of my work) I enjoy thinking about the ideas presented in it.
My secret dream is to have the chance to redo this movie knowing what i do now about art and life.
