PORCELAIN
I don't need another porcelain doll...
Porcelain, by Lindsey Ferguson, is such an energetic and emotionally engaging piece of music, that we wanted to share the feeling of the song by setting it against a backdrop that could keep up with the energy and pace of the music, while providing an interesting visual narrative. We decided that the best way to bring the song to life would be to make a music video in the style of an old Hollywood heist film, similar to Fargo or Thelma and Louise. And as the song of lost love and new beginnings bounces along, we follow our heroine (maybe our anti-heroine) as she navigates her way through a series of store robberies.
MORE ABOUT the music video
Creating this music video in the amount of time that we had for pre-production was a challenge to say the least. This was the least amount of time that i've ever had to prepare, and with six locations, lots of travel, and a prop gun that caused a lot of issues, we had a lot on our plate.
Luckily, everything turned out great. It was an awesome collaboration between me and Lindsey, who I have known since high school!
